Trials and Tribulations of crochet - part 1

Okay, I got the book and yarn and hook. **OMG SO EXCITED! Time to start making something! **

Alright, I refered to the book to learn how to hold the hook, and do slip knot and foundation chain. This is where it gets me. "Yarn over and pull through?? Pull through what where??

The basic was so difficult to grasp. And I was only half an hour in !! And maintaining the tension of yarn on my left hand? I have no idea how to. My left hand felt so uncoordinated

So i went to youtube, hoping a video tutorial will help me out better. Turns out, it was a good idea. Seeing those visually made me understand the steps clearer. I got my confidence back again and tried to crochet the foundation chain.

Finally, I got it ! A smaller chain , and slightly longer.

Mission accomplished for tonight, for now
